Miss Days of '76

Katelynn Westphal

​

Katelynn Westphal is the 20-year-old daughter of Wes and Christi Westphal. She is a recent graduate of Mitchell Technical College where she was an honor student and received an associate degree in animal science and a diploma in Small Business Management. She currently resides in Canton, South Dakota where she works full-time as an Office Specialist at Farm Mutual Insurance Company. Before Katelynn started her career, she was active in 4-H Rodeo, South Dakota High School Rodeo Association, and Future Business Leader of America. Katelynn began competing in rodeos at just 2 years old.  Katelynn has been staying involved in rodeo by judging and directing 4-H rodeos. She is excited to continue representing the sport and lifestyle she loves.

Kinley Olson

Kinley Olson is 14 years old and hails from Ainsworth, Nebraska. She is a 4.0 Honor Roll student, has earned her FFA Greenhand Degree, and is enrolled with the Nebraska Ag Academy.  Kinley is a freshman and is a proud advocate for the western way of life.  After high school, Kinley plans to attend Colorado State University for Equine Sciences.  She has her own commercial Angus cow herd, adorned with her signature purple tags and her Lazy YO brand.  She enjoys riding horses, photography, and promoting the sport of rodeo. Exceptional rodeos are one of her favorite volunteer activities, helping others to experience the impact from the touch of a horse.

Addison Brownell

Addison is the 11-year-old daughter of Levi & Michelle Brownell.  She lives on a small place just outside of Spearfish.  She is in 6th grade at Spearfish Middle School.  Addison found her passion for animals at a young age, but her horses have always been her #1.  Addison enjoys being outside with her animals, riding her horses, jumping on the trampoline, drawing and listening to music.  Addison is also a member of the Range Riders 4H club and Girl Scout Troop 71123 which also keeps her active.  She would like to thank her sponsor Bliss Hair in Spearfish, SD.
