2018 Jr Miss days of 76

Hello, from your 2018 Jr. Miss Days of ‘76! I am Taylor Fisher, a 17 year old junior at Bison High School. My folks, and two of my biggest supporters, are Trevor Fisher and Laura Fisher.

Throughout this year, I have kept extremely busy through school, sports, and representing this fantastic title! Through my reign so far, I can still say the the very first week I was crowned was the absolute craziest, most hectic, exciting, and honoring weeks that I have had all year. Although exhausted at the end, I wouldn’t have traded it for the world. Rodeos every night with autograph sessions, radio interviews, and parades in between makes for early mornings and late nights, but you learn to smile through all it and have fun amongst the chaos.

I was back up to the northern part of the state after the conclusion of the week. Within the next 10 days, I attended the Days of 1910 in Timberlake, SD, the Isabel SDRA rodeo, the newly PRCA sanctioned Faith Bronc Match, and Faith Stock Show where I appeared in the parade and in the arena for clearing, carrying flags, and grand entry. At the end of the month, I was in the Newell Labor Day grand entry and assisted in their fundraising by selling 50/50 tickets.

Getting to watch and support my senior queen, Jordan Tierney, through her accomplishments in earning the 2019 Miss Rodeo South Dakota title truly has been one of the best parts of my year. I am so proud of her and cannot wait to follow her journey this year.

After winning Miss Rodeo South Dakota, Jordan and I have met up at multiple different events. We cleared the arena and participated in the grand entry together at the SDRA finals, went to support the 2018 Miss Rodeo South Dakota, Kay Marrs, at her send off party as she prepared to go to Vegas for the Miss Rodeo America pageant, attended the Days of ‘76 Annual Chairman’s Banquet, celebrated South Dakota’s rodeo success as we sent off those attending the NFR, and finally, celebrated Jordan’s success as she was crowned Miss Rodeo South Dakota 2019.

Words really cannot express the gratitude I feel towards all of the sponsors that have made this year a success for me. All I can really say is thank you, from the bottom of my heart. To IDEA DRILLING LLC of Virginia, MN for the beautiful gold crown I have gotten to wear on my hat through all these adventures and for the signature chaps that travel with me to all my rodeos and events. To FINANCIAL BENEFITS of Spearfish, SD for my very first trophy saddle that I will cherish forever. To the DAYS OF ‘76 RODEO COMMITTEE for their support all through this year and getting my reign started off right with a beautiful Days of ‘76 trophy buckle. To FOX RIDGE AG of Eagle Butte, SD for the never ending support I have received throughout the years. And to all others that I have not mentioned: your support does not go unnoticed. Thank you so much. None of this would be possible without your generous donations. I feel so blessed and honored to have had this opportunity and can not wait to see what the rest of this year holds!
