2018 Days of 76 Princess

Tava Sexton is 11 years old and from Whitewood, SD. Her parents are J.R. & Tara Olson, and Scot Sexton. She is a 6th grader at Sturgis Elementary at the present time.

Tava enjoys riding her horses, showing and raising rabbits, horse shows, playdays and rodeos. Her rodeo events she competes in are barrels, poles, goats, flag race, and the Queen   contest.

Besides being with all the animals she loves, Tava also enjoys basketball, 4-H Shooting sports, piano, guitar, & playing with her little brother. Tava is an All State Honor Choir 3 year qualifier, and a 4 year member of the Horseshoe 4-H club where she serves as the President. Tava is the first to wear the new Princess traveling crown which is sponsored by Thompson Livestock of Whitewood.

Tava is very grateful for the beautiful 2018 Days of 76’  Princess saddle she won that is sponsored by Burch Rodeo of Rozet, Wyoming. Tava wants to tell all the queen contest sponsors how appreciative she is for them sponsoring awards!  Tava has represented the Days of 76’ at many events including the Days of 76’ Parade, the NFR Sendoff Party in Belle Fourche, and the BH Stock Show in Rapid City
