Miss Days of 76: Martina Loobey

Martina Looby Biography:

Hello! Welcome to the 96th Annual Days of ’76 Rodeo! My name is Martina Loobey and I am the 20 year old daughter of Brook and Lorrie Loobey from Sturgis. I currently reign as your 2017-2018 Miss Days of ’76! It’s hard to believe it has been exactly one year that I was anxiously waiting for the contest and that I was blessed with the opportunity to represent this award winning rodeo and Hall of Fame rodeo committee. This title was especially close to my heart as I was the 2013 Junior Miss Days of ’76 and to be able to represent them one more time was very special to me. This year I was able to attend different functions ranging from banquets to autograph sessions and from play days to rodeos. Each and every place I went, I made new friends and was excited to share with more people about the rich history of our rodeo, the town of Deadwood and how we celebrate the legacies. We have some amazing cowgirls and cowboys that come to compete and watching them is sure to leave you on the edge of your seats! When I am not following the rodeo trail, I love to spend time with my family and friends, ride my horses and taking on the new challenges of owning my own Equine Sports Massage Business, Mistified Massage. I hope that you all enjoy each second of the rodeo and parade while you soak in every ounce of the history that comes to life in this very arena. I would like to thank all our amazing sponsors for both the queen contest and the rodeo! Without them, we could not have the production that we do! I would also like to send a huge thank you to our rodeo committee for allowing me to represent you this past year and being so kind to me! You will always hold a very special place in my heart! Have a fun week at the Best Rodeo. No Bull.
